  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (preferably 5%)

  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 pinch kosher salt
  • Extra cinnamon for garnish

Method
 

  1. Gather all your ingredients and measure them out before blending. I like to add the milk first to the blender jar—this creates a cushion for the frozen peaches and helps them blend more smoothly without overworking the motor. Add the Greek yogurt next, then the rolled oats, honey, and all your spices (vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt). This layering helps distribute the spices evenly throughout the smoothie.
  2. Add the frozen peach slices on top of the wet ingredients and liquid base. Blend on high speed for 45-60 seconds, stopping halfway through to check the consistency. The frozen peaches will gradually break down and create a thick, creamy texture reminiscent of a peach cobbler. I find that pausing briefly helps prevent the smoothie from becoming too thin and ensures all the spices are fully incorporated.
  3. Pour the smoothie into a glass and taste it. If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash more milk (about 1/4 cup at a time) and blend briefly to combine. If it needs more sweetness or warmth, drizzle in a touch more honey. Top with a light dusting of extra cinnamon for garnish and serve immediately while the smoothie is still cold and thick.
